Hello, me and 3 friends plan to invest in the brand new XB4'2015 4WD Buggy. We are not sure what Options to buy along with the kit. We will run on indoor carpet (mid/high traction) and astroturf (mid/high traction) tracks. What are your suggestions for optional parts and spare parts to survive race weekends? What are the most common spare parts? What parts might break/need to be replaced commonly? Which tuning options make sense? Thanks for your comments in advance. Best regards Robert |

Good choice of car me and my son have been using the older version for over a year now and they're a good car. Would recommend buying some front arms and maybe some hinge pins. |

Thanks for you comment. Regarding my question i contacted xray directly and they recommended a post in this forum (factory driver/team driver would answer all my question). I am curious if this proves true.... |

Hi Hosche, I am an 1/8th driver and only recently got back into 1/10th but I hope I can help you. What I found is what parts you break depends a lot on where you race. On forgiving tracks with soft barriers you normally can drive a long time without breaking. I practice a lot on an indoor track that isn't heated and has 4 concrete pillars. The XB4 is very durable but hit one of those at speed and something has to give and the building is not going to. Sometimes I won't break anything in three practice nights, other times I will break twice on the same night (but it'll be my fault and not the car's). Also coming from 1/8th I have a very 10th-unfriendly driving style, but I'm getting there and I hope the XB4 makes me a better driver. What you should have in stock are: Front and rear diff case A-Arms front and rear (front are the same, rear are different) Hinge pins Shock composite parts (all in one bag) Small wheel bearings (will let go before the bigger ones) Ball cups (I never broke one though and they pop out in big crashes, but just in case.) Rear wing posts While I myself have broken more than that (I even killed a top deck and some dog bones, because the slipper was too tight on hard landings on power) It's really unreasonable to stock up on much more than that and you'll in time see what you will break on your track. As far as tuning goes I got the thicker rear wings and the aluminium wing holder shims. Also for carpet some 3 stripe rear springs and different sway bars (1.6 and 1.8 ). |

The carpet part are easily stained when not well cared for when removing or installing the new parts. JoK |
