what ya all think? buy another kit for spare parts? does it pay? the shocks alone are $160.i was thinking to buy another kit and use it for spares. then replace what i use and ill still have a new kit if and when i want to sell it.

That's a very economic strategy. I do this directly because of your example of the shocks. Granted, you'll likely not need to replace 60% of the parts but it's nice to have them just in case.

I've thought about this too but in the end I think it's not worth it economically. Why do you need another set of shocks? It's so quick to change them. And after one or two seasons the spare car will be outdated and when you want to sell it you're going to have to replace everything anyway.

The only upside is you have every part available all the time. But after a few outings you will know what can break (it can be very track/driver specific). Over here when I need something I will have it the next day or inside two hours drive but if the situation is different for you then I might be wrong.
