Guy’s Just a quick question. When up grading the diffs in the XB4 fitting them out with NT1 Gear set. Do you use the new up grade diff housings that xray supplied?Which are slightly different. Thanks for your help........ |

I've run the metal gears with both the old and new ring gear. The bulkhead is exactly the same except for a bit of bracing around where the shock tower mounts. |

in case they missed it on rctech, the new diff bevel gear is thicker and the nt1 gears are thicker so some thought should be given to the tolerances. |

are they not just a different pitch rather than thicker? |

I have my XB4 coming from RCA and wanted to understand the benefit in going with the metal gears??? isn't this adding unwanted rotating mass to the drivetrain?? |

I would be interested in hearing the benefits of metal gears as well?? Or is it just for long term reliability?? |
